Description

The group's lines of research are based on carrying out studies and applications for sustainable social and territorial development, working in four thematic areas: local development, the capacity to accommodate uses in the territory, the evolution of urban or tourist spaces and the development and application of geotechnologies.

Implementation of programs for the sustainable development.
Evaluation and planning of the physical load capacity for agricultural uses and recreational use of natural areas. Decision tools for monitoring and control of soil degradation by erosion.
Analysis of urbanization processes in rural areas.
Spatial analysis with Geographic Information Systems; cartography and ortho-imaging with drones (unmanned aerial vehicles); applications of Space Remote Sensing.
Geolocation application techniques for implementing activities; geographic Big-Data; application of geostatistics to territory studies.
Design and development of tools for the analysis and evaluation of uses in coastal spaces.
Studies for the implementation of activities in the territory: agricultural applications, renewable energies or any other in vulnerable environments.
