Description
The NEXUS research group integrates several lines of work within the framework of ancient and modern historiography on the ancient world, geography, and ancient environmental history. Within the group, several specific lines of research are being developed on different aspects of the ancient history of the Iberian Peninsula in the Mediterranean and its peripheries. These include the study of Tartessus and the Phoenician and Punic civilizations, fragmentary Greek historiography, Strabo and ancient geography, environmental humanities and the 'Blue Humanities', natural disasters and related ritual responses, ethnic and political identities, the dynamics of globalisation, the public uses of antiquity, and gender studies.
