Description
Research group that has an extensive research curriculum in the areas of neuropsychiatry, neuroendocrinology, pathophysiology, pharmacology and toxicology, being a reference in the field of addictions and drug use disorders (alcohol, cocaine, cannabis). It is made up of researchers from the biomedical and academic fields, including doctors, biologists, psychologists and chemists. The group works in coordination with the Regional University Hospital of Malaga, the Biomedical Research Institute of Malaga (IBIMA). The group is part of the Addiction Primary Care Research Network (https://riapad.es/), the Spanish Drug Discovery Thematic Network (www.redefar.com/) and the Andalusian Network of Clinical and Translational Research in Neurology (www.neuroreca.com/).

- Technical advice on animal disease models (neurodegenerative, neuropsychiatric and developmental diseases).
- Technical advice on genomics, proteomics, lipidomics, and gene and protein expression.
- Identification of biomarkers as indicators of diagnosis and prognosis, or as predictors of treatment.
- Characterization of new therapeutic chemical entities.
- Pharmacological characterization of nutraceuticals and new therapeutic chemical entities.
